It saved me
From a far distance many ships were arriving, Oscar asked Antonio ," I thought you alone came here, why did you bring them." Antonio replied " I don't know let me check" the ships docked in island, many came out most are Portuguese, Oscar asked one captain who just docked he replied "We are here to experience dodo's meat." many ships were arriving, the rumor of dodo was spread throughout the world, Oscar became sad because many people there on Mauritius, they will eat dodo to the extinction. The night arrived, he and his wife Emily were in their tent discussing how to study the dodo. But outside the the other ships crewmate and their captain were plotting how to capture it. The rumor about the dodo was it had the appearance of a duck and tastes like chicken.
One Britain ship captain, Benjamin he was totally obsessed with capturing it and be the first one to eat it. He ordered his crew members to capture it at night in the forest. George was curious about what the other ship members were doing he spotted few children playing by some Captain's tent he joined them. Soon he heard the Portuguese about hunt the dodo. He didn't know about the dodo or his friend click-click which was a dodo. He thought they were going to hunt some animal. After everyone went to sleep about 2:30 in night Benjamin sent half of his crewmates into the forest with blowtorch as navigation they were doing their best to find it, Emily was woken to some light, she went out to investigate she saw some people trying to find dodo, she cannot tell to others as the others came for the same reason, with sadness she tried to sleep. The sun was rising, Benjamin was eagerly waiting, since they didn't know how it looked like, what was it looked like, and how to capture it they returned empty handed, he left them to sleep and sent his second half of his crewmates into the forest with other captain's crewmates, Emily sketched a dodo with the information she gathered which was much similar to the real dodo Benjamin found out about that sketch he went to the Oscar's tent and demanded the sketch. " give me that sketch, I need it to hunt that creature" Emily refused to give " no I cannot you people will capture it and eat it". " lady we are the British upperclassmen we will disintegrate you and your family" she had to give it they were outnumbered in people and in status too. Antonio heard what happened he requested Emily to sketch the dodo again since he requested she made one. Benjamin took the sketch to the sleeping crewmates and asked them if they seen it none of them remember seeing that type of creature except one he replied " I saw it. It lived in a nest" Benjamin sent the all the sleeping crewmates into the forest again through they were tired. George woke up and went to see click-click but his mother Emily stopped him " there are barbarians inside, you should not go" but George was so stubborn so his mother decided to go with him to see click-click. She was shocked to see that the click-click his son was referring to the dodo they were looking for. Emily was worried if they found it they will hunt it, she makes George realize the problem and the situation. George decided to take the responsibility to hide it from the hunters they made some changes to the nest like hiding it with bushes. Emily took Oscar inside the tent and told him what happened. Oscar was happy he asked wife whether she took research needed she replied yes. But they cannot leave they have to save the dodo somehow because if they left it here they will surely eat it. A Britain crewmate came with a dodo in his hand Benjamin was happy but seeing that Antonio was having a stomach burn. Benjamin took the living dodo from the crewmate and killed it on spot on the island. George saw it he was struck with fear he started crying and ran into the forest his parents didn't stopped them. B carried the dodo and announced that he will eat it. Only his crewmates and he can eat it. Seeing it a competition started among the other captains they ordered their crewmates to work faster. Benjamin took the dodo to his ship and told to cook it. The crewmates with eager they started to cook it. George was running inside the forest with one thought " it should not be click-click" when he reached the click-click's he saw it was another dodo. Click-click's family was in fear Now George was eager to protect the dodo. Benjamin's crewmates finished cooking the dodo. The food was cooked perfectly the aroma was spreading through the ship Benjamin boasted to everyone that he is the some who is going to be the first one to eat it. After boasting to everyone he left for his ship. It was nearly evening George left the dodo and started to head to the tent but in his way he encountered a poisonous beetle which was trying to sting him. George was in fear click-click which was following him went and ate the beetle George thought the dodo saved him. Now George was a small kid so the didn't know it was just a normal bettle and the dodo just looked the beetle as food. At the Benjamin's ship he was cutting the food into large pieces but he didn't offered to his crewmates he told them he will give it to them after he ate it. He took the first bite and he felt a great disappointment he was not able to swallow it it was like rubber. So was the same with his crewmates they too felt the dissapointment he cannot tell to everyone how it truly tasted because he boasted too much. So he lied to everyone " The dodo's meat was delicious. it's meat is greater than any other meat in the world". Heading that everyone started to feel the excitement to experience the dodo.
